Feed the Homeless, Feed Yourself

There is a level of self-absorption in those who have an eating disorder. Perhaps there had to be BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE WAS CONCERNED ABOUT YOU OR THEY WEREN’T ABLE TO MEET YOUR NEEDS.

However, that self absorption is also holding you captive in your eating disorder. A program called Real Meals is helping eating disorder patients to focus on something outside of themselves. Eating disorder patients feed the homeless!

I always suggest helping others when you are hurting. Seeing people deal with their own hardship and helping others soothes the soul. Seeing hungry people eat gives a whole new perception of eating! This is one road to recovery.
